A representation of the colorful tiles and beautiful flowers you'll see as you walk around Taiwan. From the historic 'old streets' to the newest construction of a mega shopping center, you'll always come to notice, Taiwan loves two things. Tiles and flowers. The Majolica collection is my way to bring these shapes and colors to your wrist. 

Majolica tiles are tin-glazed ceramic pieces that have hand painted floral and symmetrical designs on them. Originating from the Renaissance times in Italy and Spain, they later were produced in Japan. While early Japanese tiles used to emulate more Western ideals, they quickly adapted to their local market and started painting what are believed to be auspicious plant and animal designs. Around 1915-1930 they where introduced into Taiwan. Although largely destroyed or lost, majolica tiles can still be found on outward facing walls of older buildings in and around Taiwan.
